Phoenix Water Designs serves the Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton area...and towns in the counties of Lehigh, Northampton, Berks, Bucks, Monroe, Carbon and Schuylkill. We are a full-service pond contractor who builds, repairs, maintains, open, closes and fixes green water. We service small lakes, farm and natural ponds as well as water hazards, and manage muck and nutrient control, algae and natural weed control. We pride ourselves in our ability to provide crystal clear water for the health of your pond and your fish. All consultations and quotes are always free and we love to teach our customers how to manage their ponds.
Our Story
Late in 2019 we decided we wanted a pond and waterfall in our backyard. Though we called numerous pond builders on the internet, only one business returned our call. We were not satisfied with their proposal....nor confident they could deliver a good result. Jim started researching ponds and pond building and we traveled all over the East Coast to visit sites with fountains and pond building supplies. Pretty soon he felt ready to tackle our back yard pond on his own. To say he was bitten by the pond bug was an understatement. Soon we had two sets of fountains out front and, because I had always wanted a millstone in a syrup kettle fountain, he built me one. From there it was a short trip to the discussion with my brother who had always wanted a pond...and Jim was building one with him. I had long loved the idea of a pond business and Jim wanted a retirement hobby so I formed an LLC and went into the pond business!
Jim has attended numerous classes both in person and online. He has been designated as an APC (Atlantic Professional Contractor), an Airmax Distributor & Service Tech & a Vanguard Diffused Aeration & Fountain Distributor. He has researched and uses the best professional water treatments and filtration equipment to ensure your water quality is the best it can be. We are fully insured and licensed in the State of PA.
We believe everyone should be able to have a pond, big or small, either professionally built or DIY.
